Our Mission

Since 1996, the Carrefour Jeunesse Emploi (CJE) des Cantons de l’Est has offered services to young adults. It provides service to the MRC’s of Haute-Yamaska and Brome-Missisquoi. Its offices are located in Granby and Cowansville.

The mission of the CJE is to enable young adults to define their life and career goals, to encourage them in their projects and their job search efforts, to give them the chance to utilize their skills in the workforce, and to begin anew with those who have become discouraged. We have had a new mandate since 2004, which is to make young adults aware of entrepreneurial culture and to help those who decide to start their own business to realisation their project.

The CJE team has expertise and skills in the areas of employment and vocational counselling in both languages (English and French) for young adults aged 16 to 35. The specific intervention objectives are to acquire a first-line welcome and referral service for all young adults who come see us without any form of discrimination.
